The Explosion Museum 20:00-01:00 SOLD OUT

What to expect

We are REALLY excited to offer this amazing location which has MANY reported spooky happenings based within 18th century buildings at the Royal Navy's former armaments depot of Priddy's Hard, in Gosport…..all on FRIDAY 13TH!! Since its completion in 1756, this depot has played an active part in conflicts from the Napoleonic Wars right through to the Falklands War. Just imagine the experiences of the thousands who worked (and died) in such a dangerous environment. What caused the explosion which killed 27 people ? To whom do the ghostly footsteps belong and why is this person knocking on the door ? What causes a heavy chain to swing for no apparent reason and is the reported unnatural gust of wind really the spirit of a labourer who died at the scene ? Will we witness the manifestation of Edward George McBride on the exact same spot where he was killed over 90 years ago?

Delepre Abbey 20:30-01:30 SOLD OUT

What to expect

Delapré Abbey was built in 1145. It was originally a nunnery, but the dissolution of the monasteries, 1536-1540, saw the nunnery’s demise. However, the mansion and outbuildings incorporate the remains of a former monastery, the Abbey of St Mary de la Pre, which can still be seen today. With over a 900-year history, this stunning Mansion has much to investigate. Apparitions of nuns are still seen regularly to this very day! Delapré has played a big part in our history during the War of the Roses. The grounds are a nationally protected Wars of the Roses battlefield… sightings of residual hauntings of a battle still play out today. In 1460, King Henry VI and the Earl of March fought the Battle of Northampton. The King was taken prisoner within the Abbey overnight and transported to London the next day. World War Two; The Abbey once used to house soldiers. From this, staff and guests have good reason to believe they never left as they are sometimes seen roaming the staircase in the main house. And what of the ghostly figure seen? Some speculate it’s the spirit of Miss Mary Bouverie, a former owner of Delapré Abbey who died in the stable block in 1943.

Preston Manor. SOLD OUT

What to expect

GHOSTS OF PRESTON MANOR One of the most popular ghosts reported to have been seen in Preston Manor is that of the blonde nun. She is also called “The White Lady”. She was first mentioned in the 16th century and the frequency of her appearances peaked in the 19th century. She was seen by one of Eleanor Stanford’s children in 1896. The ghost was seen walking on the staircase. When she tried to touch the apparition, it disappeared. One of the child’s sisters also saw the apparition afterwards. The same child saw spectres of two men on the stairs fighting one another. She also reported having sensed an evil presence in one of the southwest bedrooms. In 1896, one of the family’s guests came across a ghost in the manor’s entrance hall. The man supposedly talked to the ghost and that was when it was revealed that it was actually the ghost of a nun who was excommunicated and then buried in unconsecrated grounds. A séance in the same year revealed that the spirits of two nuns remain in the manor. They were both excommunicated by the friar unjustly. In 1897, the remains of a middle-aged female were found buried behind the house. She was buried in St. Peter’s churchyard with the help of the Stanford family. There was another séance held in the following year and it reported that the ghosts were now at peace. However, reports of more sightings were noted including those of white female spirits which were seen by passers-by. Visitors to the manor have also reported seeing phantom hands appearing and moving up and down one of the bedroom’s four-poster beds. Visitors also heard strange noises on the southwest side of the building. Dresses were being cut, objects were moved around and doors were opened and closed on their own accord. In the 20th century, reports of a female ghost clad in grey were mentioned many times. The grey-clad ghost was seen in several areas of the house including the staircase and on the parapet of the roof. A security guard also saw a ghost donned in old-fashioned clothes walking across a landing. Because of the popularity of Preston Manor as one of the most haunted places in the United Kingdom!

Shaw House SOLD OUT SUBJECT TO BALANCE PAYMENTS.

What to expect

Join Spirit Chasers Paranormal UK for an evening of ghost hunting at Shaw House in Newbury, West Berkshire as we attempt to capture further evidence of its often reported ghostly goings on. We will even be investigating the spooky Bake House!!! Shaw House in Newbury, West Berkshire was built in 1581 by Thomas Dolman who made his money as a clothier in Newbury. In the October of 1644 the house witnessed the Second Battle of Newbury and although the house remained unscathed, hundreds of soldiers died in a standoff and many believe this plays a large part in the ghostly encounters witnessed on the estate, the ground and the main house. Visitors and staff have reported mysterious blue orbs of light floating through various rooms, The spectral “Grey Lady” appearing in upper chambers. Echoing screams attributed to a housemaid allegedly killed in a tunnel collapse (the tunnel supposedly connected Shaw House to Donnington Castle) The sounds of soldiers marching inside the building and an unsettling sensation of being watched when alone in the house!
